Barangays and Population

According to several accounts, Baguio’s population steadily increased from 1903 to 1999, while the highest population growth occurred from 1960 to 1970, which was at five percent.

Comprised mostly of a relatively young population, Baguio's population of 300,000 is expected to double in 24 years, which is equivalent to 6,000 people added to the present population every year.

Baguio City is politically subdivided into 129 barangays. Can you identify the location of some of these? It appears that Metropolitan Baguio has expanded to places that were relatively unknown to us as high school students! Sometimes I wish that time would have stood still, but that is rubbish thinking. That’s a lot: a couple of thousands of people added each year since 1961!!
