It’s the weather that lovers are waiting for. The temperature in Baguio City dropped to 10.4 degrees Celsius on Saturday, the lowest so far since the New Year entered.

State weather bureau PAGASA said the temperature drop is due to the northeast monsoon from China and the cold front.

PAGASA said residents of Baguio City should expect colder temperature in the coming days as February is the coldest month of the year there.

The temperature there usually plummets to below 10 degrees Celsius come Christmas time.

However, the temperature dropped only to 11.4 on December 26 and 11.6 on January 9.

On Sunday, the temperature in the city rose to 12 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, the flower growers in La Trinidad, Benguet are happy because the climate will lengthen the lives of the flowers. This is also in preparation for Valentine’s Day. -from a report by Maira Wallis, ABS-CBN News Northern Luzon
