A few years ago, Nora turned 63. I wanted to greet her but not with an e-card, it was an e-poem instead. Short, but from the heart. I found the file when I was trying to clear my files. Here it is:
Si Nora’y isinilang sa Bauang La Union
Animnapo’t tatlong taon na ang nakakaranas
Pamangkin siya ng magaling na math teacher noon
Hipolito ang pangalan, sa math problems siya ay nakalunas.
Mula sa Pilipinas hanggang California
Siya po’y isang mabait na asawa’t ina
Kundi pa man, pagka’t siya po ay Nars
Sa lahat ng propesyon, iyan ay walang kapars!
