From Jack Cariño's Site

This photo, along with vintage Baguio photos, was discovered and unearthed recently. The cooking instructions are surprisingly simple but the total impact of this postcard is so endearing, including Old Puss waiting for his share of this Ilocano classic of a naimas nga ulam. Do visit his site!

Thanks for this post. It is awesome !!! I also posted a comment @Jack Carino's website 5/24/09:

I saw this picture & link @ BCHS61Tambayan.blogspot.com. This reminds me of a post card received in 1999 from a classmate (BCHSClass62). Could not find the postcard "How to make Puto Bumbong". Maybe I tested the recipe and someone swiped the card while I was not looking. Loved the pinacbet postcard & "all Photos" in your website. Love reading about the "Mateo Carino" family, including the article written by Joanna. My best friend of 55 years is a direct descendant of this clan. I still miss "Bagiw". From far away Canada, kudos to you. Way to go JACK !!!
